Apart from its primary role as a game-viewing and lion-breeding facility, the Seaview Game and Lion Park is also a renowned Sanctuary which successfully treats and rehabilites many sick or injured animals. Unfortunately, some of these animals cannot be rehabilitated and therefore they remain under the Park’s care.
Monkeys, adopted by the Park as orphans or unwanted pets, have been successfully integrated into a cohesive group, and are now being taught the ‘ways of the wild’. They will eventually be returned to the Wild.
The latest animal to be rescued by the Park is a weasle who was very dehydrated when he arrived. He has grown considerably and is doing very well. He is very cute and we hope to release him into the Park when he is full grown.
